Online ping: live latency test | TwojeIP.net
Check whether a host responds and measure latency and packet loss live. Free online ping with a chart of every reply time.
What is ping used for?
Ping sends short ICMP packets to a host and measures how fast they come back. It shows whether a server is reachable, what the latency is (in milliseconds) and whether some packets get lost on the way.
Our ping runs live: each reply appears as soon as it arrives, next to the average, minimum, maximum and jitter (latency variation). A test consists of 10 packets.
What is a good ping?
To servers in your own country, under 30 ms is excellent and up to 100 ms is fine for most uses. For gaming and voice calls, low jitter and no packet loss matter too.
Why does a host not respond to ping?
Many servers and firewalls block ICMP packets, so no reply does not always mean an outage. Open the site in a browser or use traceroute instead.
What is packet loss?
It is the percentage of packets that did not come back. Even a few percent clearly degrades voice, video and gaming.
Can I ping private addresses?
No. For security reasons the tool only supports public addresses.
