Online DNS lookup: A, MX, NS, TXT records | TwojeIP.net
Check a domain's DNS records live: A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, SOA and CAA, and reverse DNS (PTR) for an IP address.
Which DNS records do we check?
DNS turns domain names into IP addresses and stores other information about a domain. We show the most important records: A and AAAA (addresses), CNAME (aliases), MX (mail), NS (name servers), TXT (e.g. SPF), SOA and CAA (who may issue a certificate).
For an IP address we check the reverse DNS (PTR), the name assigned to the address. Results come from live queries, but after a record change the new value may show up with a delay depending on the TTL.
What does TTL mean?
TTL is the time in seconds a record may be cached. After a record changes, the old value may stay visible until the TTL expires.
What is an MX record for?
It points to the servers that accept mail for the domain, with a priority. A lower number means a higher priority.
What is a TXT record?
A text record used for SPF, DKIM, DMARC and domain ownership verification, among other things.
